WHEN ARE YOU GETTING MARRIED?
It’s a wedding you’ve been dreading to go to. Why? Simply because the bride is a nice you used to carry when she was a baby. Nothing wrong with that except she’s all grown up now and about to walk down the aisle while you’re a 30 – or 40-something still hard to snitch a decent date.
The next time a well-meaning relative comes up to you and asks, “And you? When are you getting married?” don’t fret. here are some quick-witted replies you can give to stave off those pesky questions.
1. “Tomorrow, Tita. It’s too late to plan for a wedding today.”
2. “When God gets married. He still single, you know.I wouldn’t to go ahead of Him.”
3. “I’m still looking for a man with a missing rib. I thought I found him but he turned out to be a serial killer.
But the best reply to you can probably come up with is a statement of faith: “If God plans for me
to be married, then I’m sure He’s readying that man for me. he should be just around the corner.”
“Wait here , my daughter, until you learn what happens, for the man will not rest, but will settle the matter today”
(Ruth 3:18).
Grow In Profound Awareness

We tend to sweep under the rug of our memories the bad things of our lives.
So at first, Julia tells me happy childhood experiences. It was only through really
listening for what was hidden between the lines that I discovered– and she finally admitted–that
her father beat her. She had pretended so long that everything was okay that she no longer knew
the ugly truth of her past,
To grow in awareness of your old home– how it really was, not what you thought it was– you need to be
brutally honest with yourself. Go to counseling.
Have honest friendships.
Get into healing communities that accept you as you are.
And practice honest prayer before God that loves you as you are.
All these will bring a growing awareness into your life.
Please know that this takes time.
A very long time.
But the journey of profound awareness can begin today if you choose to begin now.
